Lily Allen’s Bizarre Dinner Date…

Ever since Lily’s staged public spat with Elton John at the GQ Awards she’s been keeping a relatively low profile. She spends her day’s shopping for housey stuff and her evenings are filled with art gallery openings and other equally splendid shindigs. There’s no stumbling out of clubs, fights or drunken antics of any sort (how boring!)

Last night we caught up with the Smile singer leaving Scotts restaurant in London after she’d enjoyed a meal with, well actually that’s the interesting part…

Lily and Nigella Lawson looked like busom buddies when they left the fancy restaurant late last night. Lily appeared to be clutching a book of sorts with the word ‘Mother’s’ on the back. Does anyone have a clue what that’s about? If you do please fill us in.

Lily Allen Is A Lucky Little Lady…

The Duke of York HQ on the Kings Road in London has been transformed into a 70,000 sq ft exhibition space and last night a whole host of celebrities turned out for the launch of Lord Charles Saatchi’s contemporary Chinese art in The Revolution exhibition. His beloved wife Nigella Lawson rubbed shoulders with Lily Allen, Stephen Dorff and Tracey Emin to name but a few….

Dressed in a smart black suit, a pair of killer heels and with a cheeky fag in her hand 23-year-old Lily looked a far cry from the drunken girl we’ve grown to love. Then after just forty-five minutes she upped and left and made her way across town to the Dorchester hotel to collect a BMI Award.

Honoured for her song-writing skills Lily accepted the prestigious industry award, which recognises the most played songs on US radio and television, for her track Smile. But aside from the award we hear she has yet another reason to smile after finally receiving a visa to work in the US, “It means I can go on tour there and finish off what I started which is something I've wanted to do for a long time.”

Lily Allen’s Pals Want Her To Go To Rehab…

Remember Lily Allen’s drunken little outburst (and by little we mean gigantic and cringe worthy) on stage at the GQ awards? Well according to reports, pals of the Smile singer have now become so concerned with her erratic antics that they’ve asked her to consider going to rehab. A source close to the singer said:

"We all think it's time she considered rehab. She drinks too much, then feels depressed. But she just says there's nothing wrong with her. Her attitude is: 'I like to let my hair down and have a good time, who doesn't?'"

The source added:

"She's now saying she wants to move to LA for a fresh start, but we think she's just running away and needs to get help now."

Hmmm.. never mind the rehab, sounds like someone needs to get some new friends who don’t go squealing to the press every five minutes! Funnily enough we bumped into Lily Last night going for a quiet non-alcaholic meal with a friend at Scotts Restaurant, London…

Lily Allen Does Her Bit For Gun Crime – Not!

Lily Allen has landed herself smack, bang in the middle of a row accusing her of glamorising gun crime after she wore an Uzi machine gun pendant whilst on a night out at posh London restaurant Nobu, with pal Nick Grimshaw.

Lily's accessory choice has been described by some as surprising, considering the fact that last month she met with Mayor Boris Johnson to address the rise in knife crime. After her meeting with the Mayor of London the Smile singer wrote on her MySpace blog:

“Please can everyone stop stabbing each other in the UK”

So shooting’s fine then is it? No, but seriously – does anyone else think this is a big fuss about nothing? Is wearing a gun shaped necklace really that bad?
